  Another idle thought
(continued from earlier)
... or keyboard murdering?

  Idle thoughts
Ever notice that some things always follow some people around? Like cigarette smoke?

Or loud conversation?

Or water dispensers?

Must be my imagination. Been a slow CNY, but it passed me by too fast.

  What Gives?
What's with all this damn internal propaganda these couple of days? Does it mean that some people *gasp* realize that Wonderland isn't as peachy as they'd like to think, and are scrambling desperately to appease the peasants?

If we didn't know what we were about, would our year's performance be, quoth the ex-Bunny, "a reflection of the strength of our current fundamentals"? Call me paranoid, but I smell wariness in the air. The Good Times aren't as good as some people want us to think.

Well, so What Sucks? Probably this:

What Sucks? Compaq. Stay tuned to find out why

That, and getting hit by something you knew was coming. R.I.P., Ice Bomber Milk Samurai.

  Home sick
Now does that mean "sick of not being home", "sick of home", "at home, sick" or "home is sick"?

Afternoon panorama
Working at home gives you the unparalleled freedom to choose your working environment. Or does it?

Climate control, for example. I could tune the air-conditioner to whatever level I choose, and not worry about someone else sweltering away, or sniffling under an office jacket. But I'm sick - so I have to leave the window open and the air-con off.

Now that the window's open, I have to open the blinds as well - else they'll be blown by the breeze, knock against the window pane and generally cause a minor racket. And just as the blinds are secured, the rumble of construction - demolition, rather - comes crashes through the window:

semi-detached being demolished

Just can't win, can I?

I need a kopi, maybe it'll make this headache go away.

Oh, wait. There's no coffeeshop around here. Drat.
